The Kiev Major is underway. After only two days of the competition, we have seen some of the most incredible upsets and surprising results that we have seen in the last year. One of those surprises is the Filipino squad called TNC. They after the first day of the competition had two wins. TNC had their eyes set on top seed. They entered the day two of the competition. However, their first match of day two was far less successful than their previous matches at this tournament. Their match against Virtus.pro proved to be too much to handle for them. They were defeated in two clear games. They managed to resist in the first game. However they lost it eventually and their second game. It was clearly a one-way street in favor for Virtus.pro.
On the other hand, their opponents in the fourth match, Digital Chaos, were also seen as one of the surprises of the tournament. In their first match of the tournament they played against Newbee, and while many considered Newbee to be the clear favorites for the win in that match, that did not happen as Digital Chaos won that match 2-0. However, they were defeated with the same result in their second match against Team Secret. They turned out to be the best team so far at the Kiev Major. Their third match of the tournament proved to be the toughest for DC. They were playing against Team Liquid. Eventually, Digital Chaos managed to win that match. With that, they set their eyes on the Playoffs of this tournament.
Kuku Leads TNC for a Comeback Win
The crucial match for both teams was the match that TNC and DC will play head to head. Digital Chaos started their match very well as TNC was struggling to find their footing on all maps. TNC struggled with their heroes and especially position of their heroes on the lanes. Digital Chaos knew how to use that confusion of the TNC side, and they eventually won the first game. However, even at the drafting of heroes, it became clear that TNC will have a significant advantage in the game two. That was reflected in the game where TNC displayed one of the biggest domination in the game so far this season. In the end, just seconds after the twenty-minute mark of the game two, TNC was able to finish off DC. They were able to bring their match to the equalizing 1-1.
Kuku Dominating the Game
However, as the drafting for the game three ended, it seemed that the game three should be much more interested. Neither side had a clear advantage. However, as soon as the game started, TNC proved once again that they are in a very good form. They were maintaining pressure on DC on all three sides. And then it was time for Kuku to take things into his own hands. Displaying one of the best performances in a game that we have seen at this year’s tournament, Kuku managed to resist all the attacks from DC. He did so by combining with other players.
Kuku also dominated in the team fights on the bottom lane. Once TNC moved to the DC’s side of the map, Kuku started obliterating everything ahead of him and eventually he led his team towards the win in the game three, which put TNC in a very good position before the final round of the group stage.
