The 8 Teams Going To Play at Kiev Major Revealed

The eight teams that have been invited to the upcoming Kiev major have now been revealed. The event is going to be made up of the reigning champions OG, the recent second place finishers in Majors Ad Finem, as well as Digital Chaos, Team Liquid, Wings Gaming, Evil Geniuses, Newbee as well as Team VG.J who as an interesting aside will be competing in their first ever CIS Major in Kiev.

To make the announcement a bit more exacting, the teams who would be extended an invite received their invitation one at a time. The Dota 2 Major has not revealed the criteria in which they used to extend the invites to these teams.

There are going to be many different interesting matchups set to come up during this event. The more experienced teams will be put to the pins of their collars when they battle against aggressive newcomers. It is shaping up to be one of the best events of the year.

Even though the invitation criteria were unclear, it is a very strong line-up.

Even the perceived weaker teams that received invites to the event have caused big upsets in recent Majors, so no team can afford to take any matchups for granted. They all have great experience playing over LAN and they have experience at the very top levels.

The 8 teams invited will battle it out throughout the regional qualifiers in order to make their way into the main event. The team here cannot wait for this even to finally kick off.
