Speculation Surrounding the Kiev Major Invites

Speculation Surrounding the Kiev Major Invites

With the Kiev Major coming up very soon, there has been a lot of talk about how the invites were secretly selected. This is not to take anything form the teams who received the invites as they are all top teams and it is set to be an exciting event from start to finish.

No team can take anyone for granted as anyone can beat anyone if they are on form for a particular match. This is the beauty of this competition, it is a level playing fields. In a lot of e-sports, there often is a trend that there are three or four very good teams in a competition or an event and the rest of them are mediocre in comparison.

This usually means that you have to wait until the last couple of rounds before you can see some exciting matches. At the Kiev Major, the opposite is the case as all matches are going to be tough and go down to the wire.

What’s more is that all of the teams are comfortable in a LAN setting and has a lot of experience in these scenarios. So nothing is going to phase them when they get on the mainstage. This can even be said for those teams that have not participated in a Major before. You will be hard pressed to find a field that is more stacked than this one.

There have been some interesting rule changes recently so it will be fascinating to watch to see how these will affect the teams. Could we see some dark horses storm through the pack? Or will one of the favourites march onwards to victory?
