Not that long ago, mousesports announced that their Christian ‘loWel’ Antoran will be leaving the team due to the personal reasons. At that moment, everybody expected that this German-based eSports organization will quickly announce the name of the player that will be filling one available spot in their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team. However, that did not happen because mousesports wanted to find the right player for their team and they did not want to rush into making that decision.
It seems that they have finally found the right player because they have announced that Finnish player, Miikka ‘suNny’ Kemppi will be joining their team for the upcoming tournaments. SuNny came to prominence in the last three or four months with his performances that made him one of the biggest rising CS:GO stars in Europe.
Before joining Mousesports
The last team in which suNny played was PENTA Sports which is another German-based eSports organization. Together with the rest of the team, suNny led PENTA Sports to the main event of the PGL Major in Krakow. During the qualifying rounds, PENTA Sports was displaying great games but mostly thanks to the performances by suNny and his teammate Kevin ‘HS’ Tarn.
These two players were the reason why PENTA participated at the Major recently because they single-handedly secured the wins for their team. However, they were not able to do much at the tournament and they were eliminated at the very early stages of the competition with the record of one win and three defeats. In the end, PENTA Sports finished the tournament in the 12th-14th place.
It was at this tournament, that many CS:GO teams took notice of suNny and his talent for CS:GO and as soon as the tournament ended, several teams wanted to sign this player but he chose mousesports in the end.
After it was announced that he will be joining mousesports, suNny published a statement in which he firstly thanked PENTA Sports for the opportunity that they provided him with. Besides that, he also said that he wants to play in the team that will be fighting for the titles at the international tournaments. In his opinion, Mousesports is the team that can provide him with the opportunity to do that.
However, he is aware of the fact that mouseports is far away from that level of play and he said that the main goal currently is for the team to have consistent success and not have long periods of bad results. He also realizes that it will take a lot of time, effort, and devotion from him and other members of the team in order for them to achieve that but they are ready for that kind of performances.
He concluded his statement by saying that he is very confident that mousesports has a huge potential to achieve great success and that he is very glad that he can be a part of that team in such an existing time. With suNny coming in the team, mousesports starting CS:GO lineup will feature Chris ‘chrisJ’ de Jong, Tomas ‘oskar’ Stastny, Denis ‘denis’ Howell, and Robin ‘ropz’ Kool while the team’s coach will be Sergey ‘Imbt’ Bezhanov.
