League of Legends All-Star Tournament Coming to North America

League of Legends All Star Event or simply A SE is major international invitational tournament where the online public has an opportunity to vote and support their favorite professional League of Legends players as they compete against each other in different game modes and different tournament series. Last year’s League of Legends All-Star Tournament took place in beautiful Barcelona, while this year the major tournament finally is coming to North America. When it comes to the last year’s tournament held in Barcelone, it was the fourth event which featured the most popular as well as the best players in the world. Players from different World Championship regions including Wildcard team competed. The tournament every year is organized by Riot Games.
When it comes to the format of the matches, players participating play in a modified Round Robin. At the last year’s event, there were six teams competing, one team from every major region including Europe, North America, Korea, Taiwan, China and Hong Kong. Another team competing was the winning team from another major competition Internation Wildcard All-Star. Teams participating are further assigned to Team Ice and Team Fire based on their regional performance. When it comes to the format of the event, teams are chosen based on fan vote. It should be noted that vote is not region-based, so fans and players can vote on other region’s All-Stars in addition to voting on their own region. On the other hand, the vote coming from home region counts eighty percent for its All-Stars.
Fans Choose Their Dream Teams
Riot Games finally announced that this year’s upcoming All-Star tournament is finally coming to North America. Fans are more than excited since the major event will be held from 7th until 10th of December in the Los Angeles League of Legends Series studio. Riot Games also announced that this year’s All-Star event will be slightly different from the previous tournaments since the organization will be pit dream teams based on fan voting. These dream teams will be competing against each other in the main event. When it comes to the region that will be participating in this year’s event, they were previously determined by the teams’ performance at League of Legends World Championship, so the audience will enjoy in matches between regions including Brazil, Southeast Asia, Korea, the LMS, China, Europe, NA, and Turkey.
The teams participating will be further divided into two groups including four team that will play against each other in familiar best-of-one Round Robin format. Two leading teams form their groups will further advance to the semifinals that will be played in a best-of-three format. Further, two leading teams will play the major finals which will be played in a format best-of-five. It should be noted that in addition to the major event, every region’s coach will also choose two leading players to compete in the one versus one tournament as representatives. It means, that the sixteen players will play in that single elimination bracket containing sixteen rounds, while the event’s quarterfinals will be played in a format best-of-one. The All-Star event semifinals, as well as grand finals, will be played in a format best-of-three in order to determine the event champion.
The Voting Opens up in November
It should be noted that the fans from those competing regions will vote for one player per every position. The fans will also vote up to two players per every team. The voting opens up in the beginning of November when the fans will have an opportunity to vote for only those players from their own regions. When it comes to the players, the only restriction when it comes to the voting is that they will not be able to vote for their coaches. This year’s League of Legends All-Star event is mainly focused on some more competitive games as opposed to the last year’s tournaments. This year we will have the best performing regions represented by coaches and players, so it will be exciting to see if the event will manage to keep that same entertainment and level of interestingness to the worldwide audience as the previous tournaments.
