Immortals Have Been Forced to Withdraw from the Closed Qualifier for EPICENTER
|
Major esports organization Immortals have been forced to withdraw from the closed qualifier for EPICENTER North American due to their roster issues. The organization informed EPICENTER tournaments that it would pull out of the major qualifier because the team isn’t able to field that majority of its roster which was submitted to the tournaments. The team supposed to face very competetive Team Liquid in the competition’s Group A including winners matches, but this recent forfeit from the Immortals means that Team Liquid wins the group. Further, Luminosity will play against Counter Logic Gaming in the elimination stage.
The PGL Major Krakow Runners-Up
We have witnessed that amazing match at the PLG Major Krakow between Team Liquid and Counter Logic Gaming. In Group A of the competition, Team Liquid has shown us amazing performance and strength which led them to defeat Counter Logic Gaming by 2-1. Yesterday, we noticed you that former Immortal player and one of the leading start, Vito kNg Giueseppes stepped in for the final two series after Immortal’s coach Rafael zakk Fernandes had played the first map. This won’t be surprised that former Immortals player kNg stepped in for the match despite being under an internal suspension. It means, that he wasn’t allowed to play any professional matches.
Like you already know since we noticed you yesterday, Brazilian roster Vito kNg Giuseppe is no longer tied to Immortals, and it seems like other two major players including Lucas LUCAS1 Teles and his twin brother Henrique HEN1 Teles have requested to be moved from the team. This means that Immortals is not able to compete in EPICENTER qualifiers since three runner-ups are leaving the team. The Brazilian team already have informed the EPICENTER tournament organizers that they can’t longer field that needed a majority of rosters which was submitted for the upcoming qualifier which resulted in immediate disqualification. Immortals are currently ranked 8th in the esports world. The team is due to play their following official match on 28th of September when the team will face Counter Logic Gaming in the exciting fourth week of major ESL Pro League fixtures. We will see how the team will manage their gameplay since three leading players have left the team for good. Immortals coach have to come up with new leading players from the bench quickly since their ELS Pro League match against Counter Logic Gaming is just around the corner.
Two Remaining Players
Since Immortals team was immediately disqualified due to problems with their rosters, Team Liquid has been awarded a walkover victory over Immortals. This means that Team Liquid will immediately advance to the next stage of the competition, playoffs. On the other hand, the elimination match between Counter Logic Gaming and Luminosity will determine the team who finish as second in that group. Since three players from Immortal’s roster dropout, the team has no that guaranteed a spot to the following CS: GO Major. This was a shame since Immortals is something like a legend team especially after finishing second in the PGL Krakow which took place in July. It should be noted that three of five players on the team have to be present in order to maintain that legend status. However, when it comes to the current Immortals team, the only active remaining players will be Ricardo boltz Prass and Lucas Steel Lopes.
