Immortals CEO Noah Whinston Finally Addresses kNg Controversy

Vedran Ostojic | October 2, 2017 | Counter-Strike | No Comments

Judging by recent Twitter posts form Immortals CEO Noah Whinston, that controversy surrounding former Immortals player Vito kNg Guiseppe is finally over. Noah Whinston finally addresses DreamHack Montreal controversy while explaining the team’s future plans without up to recent leading Immortals Counter-Strike player kNg. Noah Whinston decided to address the recent issues in a chronological manner, so he started with that DreamHack Montreal grand finals. A couple of days ago we wrote about that night of the grand finals when team Immortals forfeited the first map since the three Immortals players including kNg were late for their first map.

Noah Whinston stated that the reason why the team was late now really doesn’t matter. He added that this tardiness damaged both the image of Immortals as well as brought a very negative experience for the audience and fans who gladly invested their time and money in order to attend grand finals expecting to see the best competition night and to see a full best-of-three. Therefore, Immortals organization is aware that the team’s lack of professionalism really put a shadow onto their game and performance. The overall experience was greatly damaging for the team as well as for the audience.

The Punishment for Their Tardiness

When it comes to the punishment for Immortals’ tardiness, Noah Whinston stated that the team’s organization has to pay a fine which is approximately a fine of one month salary and share of the prize money from this major DreamHack Montreal for every of those three players who were late for their first map including kNg and twin brothers Teles HEN1 and LUCAS1. Noah also added that this poll of money in addition to the overall contribution of the Immortals organization’s amounting 10 percent of the overall DreamHack Montreal prize money is going to be donated to Big Sisters and Big Brothers in Montreal.

kNg’s Attempt to Track Down Pujan FNS Mehta

Another great issue when it comes to the former Immortals players kNg is his latest attempt to track down leading Counter Logic Gamins’s player Pujan FNS Mehta. There were some death threats addressed towards Pujan. Regarding this issue, Noah said that he wanted to remove kNg from the team at the very beginning, but four other Immortals’ players including  coach Rafael zakk Fernandes persuaded him to give kNg another chance.

The night before major Immortals’ match in the EPICENTER qualifier where the team faced Counter Logic Gaming, Immortals’ coach zakk was informed that kNg is under an internal suspension so he wasn’t allowed to play any professional matches. However, after Immortals lost the first map, Teles brothers HEN1 and LUCAS1 refused to continue playing unless their teammate kNg was allowed to play. Eventually, Immortals were able to win the match 2-1. Furthermore, Immortals organization decided to terminate former leading player kNg from contract since he violated his punishment which resulted in him being withdrawn from the competition.

Upon learning this, Teles brothers requested a transfer from Immortals, since without kNg they are not willing to play for the team. The organization decided to honor their request and moved them onto suspension on the bench. They will stay on the bench until another esports organization wants to buy their contracts. The invitation to the next Major is dependant on those three remaining players on the roster. The center of the teams’ future rebuild are Ricardo boltz Prass and Lucas steel Lopes.
