FaZe Defeated By Na’Vi Who Now Progress As The Last Member of the Quarter Finals

There was an exciting match up to see who would reach the quarter finals of the Dreamhack CS:G) Las Vegas event between FaZe and Na’Vi. Both of these top teams had surprisingly suffered defeats to mousepsorts in the group stages of the event. They both went on to defeat Renegades which gave them a chance to go against another with a quarter final place being the resulting prize. This was a best of three matches.

Na’Vi had a great start to the first of the three matches and they demolished FaZe 13-2 before the sides turned around. It was such a quick victory that if you went for a short break you would have missed it!

FaZe clawed their way back into the contest for a while as they started to dig into the Na’Vi lead, but ultimately the deficit was too wide and Na’Vi took the first exchange 16-6. FaZe had been looking off form and their players did not seem to be gelling well together for some reason.

Na’Vi were not dominant in the second match and FaZe picked the Nuke map and managed to force this great matchup into a third and final game to see who would win the quarter final spot after FaZe claimed the second match 16-13.

The final map that was chosen was Train; something that neither team had much of an affinity towards. FaZe had a strong start and stormed into a 9-6 lead. However some great solo displays from Na’Vi swung it back for them, and they managed to sweep the rest of the match 16-11 to progress into the quarter finals.
