ESL One: Cologne 2017: SK Gaming Defeat Virtus.pro in a Soccer Match

..ESL One: Cologne has always been one of the most interesting Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournaments in the world. This is mostly a consequence of the fact that tournament features some of the best teams in the world. Featured teams constantly play their best match in this competition. However, the big part of the popularity of this tournament is also the fact that organizers are providing a huge amount of additional content. Content is for the fans who attend the tournament in Cologne, Germany.
This year was not an exception. Organizers have announced that after the end of the tournament SK Gaming and Virtus.pro will be playing an exhibition soccer match. This match will determine which team is better at soccer. Yesterday, the day finally came. These two teams stepped away from desktops and keyboards and got the ball going.
Brazilian Blood
Apparently, there is much more to SK Gaming than just their performances in CS:GO competitions as they showed very good performance in the game against Virtus.pro. Even though it was an exhibition match, the desire for the win was felt on both sides. In the end, it was SK Gaming that secured the win in the soccer match. Even though it did not look like that until the last 30 or so seconds of the match.
Even in the exhibition soccer match, SK Gaming proved that their resilience and wish for the competition is stronger than ever. They do not need any special motivation. Besides that, apparently, it does not matter what you do because if you have Brazilian blood, there are good chances that you are a great soccer player which. The SK gaming demonstrated that in this match.
The entire match was one huge fun experience. It provided fans with the opportunity to see their favorite teams and players outside of the gaming arena and away from screens. For both of those teams, this was huge opportunity to try something else. That something that does not involve fictional character and killing other players in the game.
In the end, SK Gaming managed to win that title as well with the score 5-4. As winners of that match, they will be awarded with $50,00. However, SK Gaming has announced that 50 percent of that will be donated to a charity in their home country, Brazil. The other half of the amount will be donated to the charity organization in Germany.
The Plans for the Future
ESL One: Cologne lost the title of Major after the last year’s tournament. To the surprise of most fans, ESL Cologne survived very well. Even though the tournament has just ended, the organizers are already starting to think about the next year and the organization of 2018 ESL One: Cologne.
Just like it was the case with the last couple of years, the organizers have announced that the next year’s tournament will be much bigger and much better in all regards. Organizers are planning to increase the additional content for the fans who decide to attend the tournament. Without a doubt, we will be seeing more of these soccer games or similar things in the future.
