CompLexity Gaming is not among the top Dota 2 teams in the world but this year they had really good chance for qualifying to The International 7 but they fell short to Digital Chaos in the final match of the qualifying rounds. Digital Chaos was too strong for compLexity in that match and falling just one step away from the group stage of The International, everybody compLexity Gaming was very disappointed with that outcome.
The period after those qualifiers was really troublesome for this team and after a lot of tensions, low moments and amazing twist, the team management decided that it was time to make some changes in the team. Because of that, they decided that they will be making changes in their Dota 2 roster.
Two Players Leave the Team
At that time, compLexity Gaming did not want to announce those changes publicly but rather made them quietly. These changes in their roster remained unheard of until The International 7 when TBS ran ELEAGUE’s Road to The International Dota 2 Championship which followed compLexity Gaming through the qualifiers for the biggest Dota 2 tournament in the world.
During The International 7, it was revealed that Jimmy ‘DeMoN’ Ho and Ferar ‘Feero’ Hroob have left the team as a part of the team’s efforts to reconstruct their roster for the new Dota 2 season. At the same time, it was revealed that Eric ‘747’ Dong and Jaron ‘Monkey-Forever’ Clinton have joined the organization as replacements.
Apparently, compLexity Gaming did not want to make a big fuss about these transfer because they did not want to make them public. With these new changes, compLexity Gaming is hoping that the next season in the competition might be much better than the last one considering that they did not have a lot of success during the last year.
Troubles After The International 6
Looking back at the previous seasons, it seems that these problems for compLexity Gaming have started back in 2016 after The International 6. They were on a very good path in the qualifiers for TI6 but in a match against FDL, they dropped one game and in the end that cost them their place in the group stage of the competition.
However, TI6 featured Wild Card competition and compLexity Gaming was invited for that event but once again, they were unsuccessful in winning that match and because of that they have failed to secure their spot in the group stage of TI6. After that, everything started going downwards for this NA organization.
Soon after TI6, several players left the team and only swindlemelonzz and Zfreek remained the team and new players were brought in the team. However, that did not bring a lot of success for compLexity Gaming as their results did not improve despite making that drastic change in their roster.
CompLexity Gaming seems to be having a lot of problems with finding the right roster that might bring at least some results for this team. CompLexity Gaming has made latest changes in a very good time and because of that new players will have enough time to adjust to the new environment and to get to know other players before the actual start of the new Dota 2 season.
